DH-1231 Confirmation of load control
Event description
The DSO confirms whether the processing of the load control request has succeeded or failed.
The confirmation includes a reference to the load control request submitted by the load control service provider, enabling the service provider to match the confirmation to the original request in its own system. In addition, the confirmation contains a timestamp field that communicates the time of processing based on the capabilities of the metering system. The purpose of the timestamp is to provide the load control service provider with additional information about the execution of the request without unnecessarily delaying the confirmation message. The description field may be used to provide further details on the reason for a failed execution or to clarify the meaning of the timestamp.
The confirmation always relates to the entire load control request, which in the case of calendar‑based or scheduled control may have contained multiple control periods. Under normal conditions, the DSO programs the request into the remotely controllable meter at the accounting point as soon as possible. In exceptional situations, communication to the meter may be temporarily blocked, causing delays in programming the request. If the service provider has not received the load control confirmation within six hours of sending the load control request, the request must be considered unsuccessful, and it should be resent. If necessary, the service provider should also investigate the cause of the missing confirmation with the DSO.
